The Grand Rex in Paris is planning a special evening for the GTA 6 launch, reports IGN France. On November 19, the Parisian venue offers to let fans discover the game in its Infinite auditorium, in an atmosphere “designed as a real event”.
According to IGN France, the event is organised with the streamer Vlad_CKA. The outlet describes an experience “outside your living room and in a slightly more premium setting”, with the game shown under exceptional screening conditions. The text we could read gives no price, schedule or ticketing details. We will not make them up: better to wait for the Grand Rex’s own announcement.
The Grand Rex is one of the best-known venues in the capital, used to film premieres and large shows. Hosting a launch night for a video game says something about GTA 6’s status, treated like a blockbuster movie. The idea is not new to gaming culture, but it takes on a particular scale for a release the whole industry steers around: we explained this morning how publishers have fled the November calendar.

Several points remain unclear. Will the game be played live on a giant screen, or is the night more of a gathering with entertainment? What time does it start, given that the unlock time is unknown? Is Rockstar involved? IGN France answers none of this, and we have no official confirmation from the publisher.
For those who would rather stay home: the game launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preload from November 12. Fan meetups are listed on our community page.
For a Parisian player, it is one more way to spend launch night outside the house among people waiting for the same game. For the game itself, nothing changes. But the initiative confirms that GTA 6 is being prepared as a cultural event, well beyond consoles.
