Six weeks before launch, scammers are already ahead of the players. According to CNews, Avast researchers identified more than 200 domain names tied to GTA VI in just 24 hours. Roughly one in ten carries a medium or high risk rating.
The context explains the rush: CNews also says more than 4 million copies have reportedly been pre-ordered. An audience that size draws fake sellers the way neon draws insects.

Some copy the look of the PlayStation Store and offer a so-called "Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition". Behind the page, CNews reports, sits a setup meant to harvest logins and take payments, with an option to connect a crypto wallet on top.
Another example is a site pushing a fake token, "ViceFuel VFUEL", and promising giveaways. A third combines credential theft, payment requests and promo offers under a GTA VI look. The article also lists several addresses flagged as potentially dangerous, including "mods", mobile and PC version sites.
That last point is worth repeating: no PC version has been announced. The game launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and any page promising a PC download, early access or a free copy is suspect from the start.
Official prices are known: €79.99 for the standard edition and €99.99 for Ultimate, digital only. The Goodtime State collector box is €399.99 and does not include the game. Any price far from these figures should raise a flag. Our price page sums them up, and goodies lists what the official store actually sells.
Avast's advice, relayed by CNews, comes down to four habits: buy only from official stores, distrust any free-download offer, check the full address before entering logins or card details, and never link a crypto wallet to a video game site.
Nothing changes in the game, everything changes in habits. The closer the date, the more fake pages appear, and waiting fatigue lowers vigilance. The simple reflex: start from Rockstar's site or your console's store, never from a link in a message or an ad. A legitimate pre-order never asks for crypto or a code from a stranger.
