According to Jeux.ca, Rockstar charges 20 CAD more than a usual console game in Canada, and the physical box holds only a download code.

We mostly talk euros and dollars here, but the price of GTA 6 reads differently north of the border. Jeux.ca has compiled the Canadian figures: 109.99 CAD for the Standard edition and 139.99 CAD for the Ultimate, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S alike, against 89.99 CAD for a typical console game, the site says. That is a 20 CAD premium.
The starting point is Rockstar's June 24 announcement, Jeux.ca recalls: 79.99 USD for Standard and 99.99 USD for Ultimate, with each market setting its local amount, identical on both consoles. In France it works out to 79.99 € and 99.99 €. Standard has the full campaign and the entire map; Ultimate, sold digitally only, adds an upgrade with exclusive content. The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection box costs 559 CAD in Canada and 399.99 USD in the US, per the same source, and does not include the game.
The most telling detail concerns the physical version. Again per Jeux.ca, the box contains only a download code. On PS5 that code works only with a PlayStation account registered in Canada or the US; Xbox imposes no such limit. We covered this regional lock in our piece on PS5 codes. One note: the article reports that Best Buy Canada's listing still shows a pending rating, while Rockstar's visuals carry the ESRB M (17+) rating.
At Best Buy Canada and EB Games the box is 109.99 CAD; Walmart.ca and Amazon.ca go down to 109.96 CAD. Amazon applies a price guarantee: you pay the lower of the order price and the launch price. Boxes are available from November 12 for preloading, but Walmart.ca promises free delivery on November 19 only. In Quebec, taxes (5% GST, 9.975% QST) bring the bill to 126.46 CAD for Standard and 160.95 CAD for Ultimate.
For readers, the lesson is twofold. The global price is clearly designed as a single yardstick, and the "physical" copy has become a payment method more than a medium. Before choosing a store, compare the delivery date and any price guarantee. Our price page collects the European figures, and there is still no official unlock time.
