A fan story, six weeks before launch. According to IGN, a Brazilian player told Reddit he had emailed Rockstar to ask for a signed GTA 6 poster, and received an official one, shipped from the publisher's New York office to his home.
The user, who goes by aogustoo, describes a "shot in the dark" email. He explained how hyped he was for GTA VI and asked whether he could get a poster for his room. "I expected an automated reply or nothing at all," he writes, before describing the surprise: a Rockstar executive allegedly answered in person. He posted photos of the poster and the exchange, blurring addresses, names and contact details.
IGN stays cautious: it is not established that Rockstar truly took the time to send it, even if the community chose to believe it. We cannot verify the anecdote either and report it as such. Rockstar content creator @videotech calls it "a massive W", stressing the fan is "not an influencer or someone famous".
The Brazilian himself asks people not to flood the team's inbox, saying he sees it as a rare act of kindness. IGN notes Rockstar will probably get more emails after this anyway.
Context matters. Rockstar has just opened its merchandise collection on the Rockstar Store, and fans are hunting every official item before November 19. Our goodies page lists what is actually on sale. A poster mailed to an individual is not on it, and nothing suggests such a service exists.
For the game, nothing. For the mood, a little: in a campaign built on giant billboards and arena roofs, a story the size of a teenager's bedroom is a reminder that the community remains the launch's best argument. If you write to Rockstar, do not count on the same reply. The community has already celebrated the story.
