IGN found every current console widely available at retail price in the US, except the PS5 Pro, sold out everywhere and around $1,500 from resellers.

Is a console shortage coming before GTA 6 on November 19? Not yet, according to IGN, which checked the major US online retailers. Apart from the PS5 Pro, every current model is widely available at manufacturer-suggested price.

This is the US market at the time of writing, not a French check.
The PS5 Pro is sold out everywhere, IGN writes, with used or marked-up units around $1,500. The disc PS5 is available almost everywhere. The Xbox Series X with a disc drive is at most retailers, except Target and Microsoft, which were sold out. The Series S in both storage sizes and the Switch 2 are also at retail price.
IGN recalls that Xbox head Asha Sharma said demand exceeds supply, that Microsoft asked owners to trade in old consoles, and that Sony offers $400 for a PS5. IGN thinks the warnings may simply look ahead to Black Friday, but does not rule out a GTA 6 rush, and mentions memory costs that could worsen in 2027.

We have no equivalent check for French stores. On trade-ins, Micromania offers 475 € for a PS5 Slim and 500 € for a Series X. See prices and release.
There is no proven urgency to play on November 19, except for the PS5 Pro. But IGN advises buying sooner rather than later, in case the rush comes.
