Seven percent of American fans surveyed say they would give up their pet for a month to play GTA 6 a week early. The figure comes from an Unwind Media poll of 1,347 gamers, reported by IGN. The game launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Per IGN, the number rises to 13% among players who already pre-ordered, nearly double. Another finding: 21% of respondents would give up intimacy to play a week before everyone else. Of those, 25% are women against 19% of men.
The rest is gentler. More than half, 53%, plan to play with their partner, and 71% of women are keen against 39% of men. Only 8% think the game's relationship mechanic amounts to cheating, a debate that started on social media.
Carefully. This is a US sample of 1,347 people, commissioned by a third party, on hypothetical questions. A poll like this measures enthusiasm, not real behaviour, and IGN covers it in an amused tone.

The context is real: pre-order attention is huge, with deals like the €39.99 trade-in offer at Micromania. Prices are laid out on the price page.
Nothing for the date or the game's content. The poll mostly shows that 16 days from launch, anticipation is high enough to produce absurd statistics. Rockstar has not reacted.
