Seventeen days before GTA 6, Micromania is buying back consoles close to new prices. From 2 to 16 November the French retailer takes a PS5 Slim for 475 €, an Xbox Series X for 500 € and a disc-drive PS5 Pro for 730 €, in cash or store credit, with no need to buy a console in return, according to Numerama.

Only PS5 and Xbox Series consoles qualify, which fits the game: GTA 6 launches on 19 November on those two families and nowhere else. The 475 € PS5 Slim offer recovers nearly three quarters of its 649.99 € new price. The PS5 Pro sold at 899.99 € without a drive is taken back at 700 €, close to 78 % of its new price, Numerama says. The Switch is excluded.
One detail matters: for the duration of the operation Micromania drops its usual 15 % discount on cash trade-ins, so cash and credit pay the same. On the other models credit rises by 25 € compared with July's operation, while the cash gap climbs from 70 to 82 €.
Numerama points to the market: new hardware has become more expensive and scarcer, which pulls used prices up. The rise in memory prices pushed Sony and Microsoft to raise their prices several times. The PS5 Pro, the priciest model, is also the hardest to find and is currently out of stock on PlayStation Direct, Sony's official store. At Microsoft, the Series X gains 200 € over July and the Series S nearly doubles its trade-in value.

The outlet's sum: a 475 € trade-in brings a new PS5 Pro down to 424.99 €, if you can find one in stock.
For anyone weighing a PS5 Slim to Pro upgrade, or leaving an old console before 19 November, the window is short and closes on the 16th, three days before launch. It says nothing about how the game will run: as far as we know Rockstar has not detailed a PS5 Pro mode. The operation follows the 39.99 € game offer the same chain launched the day before, and the wider price picture on our price page.
