GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are set to leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog by November 17, two days before GTA 6 launches, according to Collider. The site relies on the service's November list of departures. Rockstar has not commented on the schedule.
Collider says both games disappear from the Extra and Premium tiers by November 17 at the latest. It lists other departures that month: The Talos Principle 2, Cricket 24 and Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break. The two Rockstar games are described as the biggest losses on the list. Exact dates can vary by region, and Collider tells subscribers to check their local catalog.
No. Per Collider, downloading the games before November 17 does not preserve access: a catalog title is playable only while it is included in the service. Once removed, you need a separate license, even if the files stay installed. The outlet adds that save data can generally carry over to a purchased copy, provided the edition and region match.
For players who want to finish a run before November 19, time is short. GTA 5 has three protagonists, and Red Dead Redemption 2 takes a long time to play through Arthur Morgan's story. Buying a copy avoids the race.

The report currently rests on a single outlet pointing to PlayStation Plus's November departures list. We have no statement from Sony or Rockstar to quote, and nothing says the removal is tied to GTA 6. For the launch schedule, see our release page.
Subscribers who wanted to replay GTA 5 or RDR2 while waiting for GTA 6 have until November 17 to do so without buying. After that, both games are no longer included in the subscription unless Sony says otherwise. Players planning to start before November 19 must choose: finish a campaign now or buy the game.
