Rockstar has not yet said what time GTA 6 unlocks on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Only an unconfirmed leak mentions midnight.
Short answer: nobody knows yet. The date is official, Thursday, November 19, 2026, but neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has published an unlock time or a reference time zone for launch.
From the X account PlayStation Game Size, which tracks PlayStation Store data. Its post on GTA 6 reads "Release Time: Midnight", with pre-load on November 12 and release on November 19, according to PC Guide and Tech Insider, both noting Rockstar has not confirmed it. The same post lists 210 GB for the standard edition, a leak we covered in our October 27 article. "Midnight" also leaves the time zone open: Paris, New York, or each player's local time?
Here there is a statement. Clubic reports that Rockstar confirms pre-loading starts on November 12 at midnight local time, one week before launch, for digital pre-orders and for boxed buyers once their code is received and activated. That applies to the pre-load, not to the game's unlock. See our November calendar.

For now, the safe move is to pre-load from November 12 and watch Rockstar's announcements in the final days. Reviews could land the day before, according to another unconfirmed leak. Official dates and editions are on the release page. We will update this article once Rockstar gives the time.
