GTA 6's boxed edition contains only a download code, per Rockstar's store as cited by Make Tech Easier: no disc, and no boxed Ultimate Edition.

The boxed version of GTA 6 will not contain a disc, Make Tech Easier points out, citing Rockstar's own store: the retail product is listed as "Physical (Code-in-Box)" and the box "will only contain a download code". The outlet adds: "A disc will not be included in the box."
A download code, and nothing to put in the console. According to Make Tech Easier, drawing on Rockstar's support page, a physical pre-order includes one download code and the Vintage Vice City Pack, the same bonus as the digital pre-order. Rockstar already described this version in its June 24 pre-order announcement, so nothing here is new, but the point resurfaces three weeks from launch.
Physical is limited to the Standard Edition at €79.99. There is no boxed Ultimate Edition: buyers can still purchase the Ultimate upgrade on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store after redeeming the code.
No. Per Make Tech Easier, Rockstar's store FAQ requires an internet connection and a platform account. Rockstar has not announced the final size; the 210 GB figure remains a leak, as we explained in our piece on the PS5 size. For waiting times, see download time by connection speed. Preload opens November 12.

One detail to check: Rockstar lists a free month of GTA+ for digital pre-orders, but the outlet does not find it in the physical contents list. Nothing is settled; the offer's redemption terms will decide.
With caveats. According to Make Tech Easier, Sony codes are single-use and content cannot be moved between accounts; Microsoft issues a similar warning. A sealed box with an unredeemed code resells like any boxed game, but once redeemed the game stays tied to that account and the empty box is worth nothing. Second-hand, make sure the code has not been used.
The box keeps its value as a gift or collectible, not as playable physical media. For editions and prices, see the price page.
