Downloading GTA 6 on PS5 would take under half an hour on 1 Gb/s fibre and over 46 hours on 10 Mb/s ADSL, according to Les Numériques. The estimate starts from the 210 GB figure found by PlayStation Game Size, which Rockstar has not confirmed.
For 210 GB, Les Numériques gives three theoretical marks: under 30 minutes on 1 Gb/s fibre, over four and a half hours at 100 Mb/s, over 46 hours at 10 Mb/s. Our own maths agrees: 210 GB is 1,680 gigabits, so 28 minutes, about 4 h 40 and 46 h 40. Network congestion is ignored, and a day-one patch could add weight. The figure comes from the PlayStation Store database, see our 210 GB story.
Per Les Numériques, a launch PS5 has about 667 GB usable: GTA 6 would take nearly a third. On an Xbox Series S, with about 364 GB free, it would take more than half. Tom's Guide puts the Series X at 802 GB free. The Xbox size is unknown.
No. The physical edition holds a download code and no disc, a decision Rockstar made in June, notes Les Numériques. Boxes reach stores on 12 November, preload day. A Dutch shop even boycotts it over this, see our story.

Start the preload on 12 November. Tom's Guide notes it starts on its own if automatic downloads are enabled: check that beforehand. Rockstar still has to confirm the real size, especially on Xbox. Dates are on the release page.
