Driving in GTA 6 will not feel like GTA V. According to Begeek, Rockstar Games has confirmed roads will be narrower and traffic denser, which affects every trip through Vice City. The outlet leans on journalist Jason Schreier, who played the game and describes driving as more immersive and more demanding.

What changes behind the wheel?

More cars around you and less room to go straight: Begeek concludes it will feel less relaxed than GTA V, with less room for pure speed. It adds that rural areas around Vice City should stay more open. That is the outlet's inference, not a Rockstar statement about the map.

Does Rockstar choose realism over fun?

Not at any cost. OpenCritic, republishing GameRant, reports remarks by Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson to Love magazine: realism is not always the priority, and the studio sometimes picks convenience over authenticity to keep play enjoyable. I only have an excerpt, so I quote nothing further.

The direction is consistent: see our October 21 piece on Schreier's weapon details, the hundreds of explorable interiors and the Miami scouting trips.

Why it matters

Players who like crossing the map flat out may find driving more constrained, while the city should feel busier. Little has been shown in detail, and the verdict comes on November 19, as laid out on our release page.
