The song that plays over the whole GTA 6 launch trailer has now entered the US charts. According to Billboard, “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice, featuring King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Tame Impala and SZA, debuts at No. 62 on the Hot 100 dated October 31.
The track came out on October 15 through Take-Two Interactive Software, Atlantic, Because and Virgin. For the October 16 to 22 tracking week, Billboard, citing Luminate, counts 4.6 million official US streams, 1 million radio audience impressions and 1,000 sales. It is the first Hot 100 entry for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, a band formed in Melbourne in 2010 with 28 studio albums.
Billboard says this is the ninth release from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the 34-song soundtrack due on November 19. Unlike earlier previews, which mixed several songs, this one covers the entire launch trailer. It arrived alongside the news that Justice will compose the game's score, which we covered in our piece on the duo's BBC appearance.
It is the third soundtrack song to reach the Hot 100, per Billboard. Morgan Wallen's “Last Thing You Need” peaked at No. 9 and Travis Scott's “Rhyno” at No. 84, both debuting on the chart dated October 3. Rockstar and Atlantic have also released songs by Cardi B, Fuerza Regida and Rauw Alejandro.

No. 62 is modest next to those two, but it comes with a sound far from Wallen's country: electronic music, from a band that put out a dance album, Alien Metal, in August.
Nothing changes for the game itself, but the signal is clear: the GTA 6 soundtrack works as a music event of its own, with chart entries before release. We will see whether the full album does better on November 19. Every known track is listed on the music page.
