GTA VI will lead the next issue of Edge, due on October 29, according to VICE. The magazine is preparing a 16-page feature with Rockstar interviews and new screenshots. That creates a clear reporting date for readers looking beyond social media speculation: a chance to hear from the development team, provided its answers are read in their full context.

A studio visit and new images

The preview quoted by VICE says Edge travelled to Rockstar’s Edinburgh development headquarters to speak with the leadership behind the game. The issue is scheduled for both print and digital release. Interviews and screenshots are the announced attractions. Neither amounts to an announcement of another trailer, a playable demo or a new launch schedule.

GTAVI_Countdown also relays the 16-page feature, describing exclusive interviews with Rockstar North and new screenshots. This identifies a specific magazine package rather than an open-ended rumour about forthcoming news. It does not establish what the finished images will reveal, or justify treating details glimpsed in promotional footage as confirmed gameplay systems.

A free route through GamesRadar+

VICE reports that the GTA VI feature will be available to read for free through GamesRadar+ on Thursday, October 29. The GTAVI_Countdown post links to GamesRadar+’s feature preview. Readers should distinguish access to that GTA VI coverage from access to the entire magazine: a free feature is not a promise that every article in the issue will be offered without charge.

There is also no confirmed publication hour. VICE suggests around 10 a.m. UK time based on earlier magazine issues, while explicitly identifying that timing as an estimate. Readers can mark the date without treating that proposed hour as an official deadline. The distinction matters when reposted schedules lose the caveats attached to the original reporting.

Why it matters

The useful next step is to read the complete interviews once they arrive. A developer explaining a design goal may offer more nuance than a screenshot caption or a short social media excerpt can carry. New images will also be easier to assess when their resolution and accompanying explanations are available. Until then, the preview is a guide to the coverage, not a substitute for it.

Our GTA VI journal will distinguish new information from interpretations as the feature becomes available. The announcement supplies a place and date to look for more detail; it does not yet tell us which questions Rockstar will answer. Nor does the magazine date itself change the game’s release plans or establish technical specifications that have not been announced.
