No PC version of GTA 6 has been announced. Mashable restates it in its October 21 explainer: the game launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Rockstar has given no date or window for PC players.
Nothing official, so nothing certain. The only dated lead comes from GamesBeat, as cited by Mashable: a PC launch in the first quarter of 2027, according to anonymous sources familiar with Rockstar's plans. Mashable says GamesBeat has a good track record on this kind of story, but the report is unconfirmed. Treat it as a hint, not a date.
Rockstar and Take-Two have given no reason. Mashable offers two common explanations: standardized console hardware that is easier to optimize, and higher revenue per unit on console. Former Rockstar producer John Ricchio, quoted by Mashable via IGN, says it is easier to start with tight constraints and add polish later than the reverse. A more cynical reading is a publisher hoping impatient fans buy the console version first.
The series gives a benchmark. According to Mashable, GTA IV came out in April 2008 on console and in December that year on PC. GTA V waited nineteen months, from September 2013 to April 2015. Red Dead Redemption 2 took about a year. The one exception is The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, launched on every platform at once in 2021. If the usual pattern holds, the wait would exceed a year, which makes GamesBeat's quarter faster than usual.

A report from The Verge had suggested Xbox streaming exclusivity that would let PC players in on day one. Mashable says Xbox's Matthew Ball denied it: no streaming exclusivity, and no PC streaming at launch either.

For PC players the situation is simple: nothing is certain until Rockstar announces something. On November 19 the only reality is console. The first quarter of 2027 should be read as a serious rumor from an anonymous source until proven otherwise.
