Some Leclerc customers got an email announcing a download code between November 12 and 18, while the store page says the 18th, Journal du Geek reports.

GTA 6 preorders at French retailer Leclerc are sending mixed signals. According to Journal du Geek, customers received an email announcing an imminent charge and a scheme to get the download code up to a week before launch, while the order summary still says November 18.
On its site the chain lists the game for preorder with a November 19 release, shipping and pickup from the 18th. But the emails sent in recent hours announce deliveries between November 12 and 18, per Journal du Geek. Several customers confirmed they were charged right after. In order summaries, however, the information does not match and still shows delivery from the 18th.
Rockstar opens preloading on November 12, so everyone is ready to play the minute the game launches on the 19th. GTA 6 has no real disc: the boxes sold by Amazon, Fnac, Cdiscount, Carrefour or Leclerc contain a code to enter on the console to download the game. Digital buyers have no issue, preloading opens for them on the 12th. For a box, everything depends on when the code arrives.
That is the point Leclerc does not confirm: the chain has not clearly said whether shipping or in-store pickup will be possible from the 12th. We already noted the 60 euro Leclerc offer earlier this month; the timing question was open then too.

Journal du Geek sees "very good chances" the game will be available from November 12, in store or at home, and thinks the delivery page simply has not been updated. That is the outlet's assumption, not a retailer confirmation. The only sure fact today is that both pieces of information coexist at Leclerc.
If you preordered a box, do not count on November 12 for preloading yet: wait for the code and check your email. When in doubt, digital remains the only guaranteed path to preloading that day. Prices and editions are on our price page.
