Thirteen years separate GTA V (2013) from GTA 6, and one player decided to show it frame by frame. According to Dexerto, creator GearOS Plays reproduced the shots of the latest GTA 6 trailer inside the 2013 game, hunting through Los Santos for matching settings and framing.

Dexerto points to differences in lighting, textures, animation and environment density, as well as character rendering and overall mood. It adds that GTA V still holds up visually despite its age. It is not a takedown: it is a yardstick.
The reactions Dexerto quotes agree. One viewer jokes that next to GTA 6, the older game looks like Minecraft. Another says it will be hard to look at GTA V the same way again. Dexerto also recalls that actor Ned Luke, Michael's voice in GTA V, had already stressed how dramatically Rockstar's technology has moved on.

Not entirely, and Dexerto says so: GTA V launched in 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360, while GTA 6 is built for far more powerful consoles. A fan staging a scene in an existing game also lacks the tools Rockstar's teams have. The exercise shows distance, not a flaw in GTA V.
The community loves these cross-generation checks. We already compared Vice City 2002 and GTA 6 and looked at the Dixon hotel visuals. The path tracing mod for GTA V Enhanced already showed what the 2013 game can still do. More on the community page.
No official information, but a handy yardstick before November 19: these shots rebuilt in GTA V give a concrete idea of the leap Rockstar promises on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The real verdict comes with a controller in hand.
