A fan account claims GTA 6 unlocks at 10 PM in Australia and 8 PM in Japan on November 19. Rockstar has announced no time, and the chart contradicts itself. Here is what we actually know.

A chart shared on October 17 on Instagram by an unofficial fan account, @grandtheftauto6 (68,000 likes), shows an "official global roll-out schedule" for GTA 6: midnight in New Zealand, 10 PM in Australia, 8 PM in Japan and Korea, all on Thursday, November 19. The chart is not official and its times contradict each other.
If the game unlocked at the same moment everywhere, midnight in New Zealand would be 10 PM in Sydney and 8 PM in Tokyo, but on Wednesday, November 18, not Thursday the 19th. And if each country unlocks at its own midnight, as is usual, Australia and Japan get the game at 12 AM on the 19th, not in the evening. Either way, the chart is wrong. The artwork is not a Rockstar visual either.
Rockstar has confirmed only one thing: the release on Thursday, November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No unlock time has been announced by Rockstar, Sony or Microsoft. According to several outlets (MP1st, Windows Report, God is a Geek), regional PlayStation Store listings point to a midnight local time unlock, country by country: New Zealand first, then Australia, Asia, Europe, and finally the Americas. This is not an official announcement yet.
Our countdown and time-zone table follow this local-midnight rule, and we will update them as soon as Rockstar gives the official time.
