November 19 is getting closer, but 32 days is a long time. Here are nine games to fill the wait, picked for a mood close to what awaits Lucia and Jason in Leonida: the city, crime, Florida sun and neon.
The obvious pick. Released in 2013 and still available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, GTA V is the best way to get back into Rockstar's world, and GTA Online is still being updated.
Rockstar's last big game before GTA 6, released in 2018. A rare level of detail and cinematic storytelling: the best preview of what the studio can do today.
To revisit Vice City before going back: the 2002 classic, re-released in the Definitive Edition trilogy in 2021. The 80s, Tommy Vercetti, and Rockstar's dream version of Florida.

Released in 2025, the Mafia series returns to early 20th-century Sicily. More linear than GTA, but a real organized-crime story.
A big open city, gangs and very different districts: Night City is one of gaming's best cities, especially since the Phantom Liberty expansion.
A slightly forgotten 2012 classic: an undercover cop inside Hong Kong's triads, punchy fights and a living city.
Open-world San Francisco, released in 2016, lighter and funnier than GTA, with the same freedom to roam and cause chaos.
For the Miami 1989 mood and pink neon: a short, very hard game with a cult synthwave soundtrack.
And to kill time on your phone: Vice Break, our free neon brick breaker, 100 levels in a Miami-inspired city with Vice Bay radio playing. Full disclosure: it is made by OKALAM Studio, the publisher of this site. It comes out November 19, the same day as GTA 6, and pre-orders are open on the App Store.
To follow the countdown to the end, our release page has the date, the November 12 preload and the time where you live.
