Trailer 3 special: the video, the music, the dates →
A 90-second trailer, three PlayStation mentions, zero for Xbox. That is the observation from JeuxVideo.com, which points to the imbalance in the "launch trailer" Rockstar released on Thursday, October 15, 35 days before release.
According to JeuxVideo.com, the PlayStation logo appears right at the start, before the studio's own. Then come the "Plays best on PS5" banner with a DualSense controller and a disc-less console, followed by "captured on PS5" and the slogan "Play has no limits". The outlet concludes that someone discovering the game through this video might wonder whether it launches on rival consoles.
Yes. Release is set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preload on November 12. Nothing points to a change. JeuxVideo.com compares the situation to Hogwarts Legacy and notes the install-base gap: over 100 million PS5 against 35 million Xbox Series, by its figures.

It is not a total surprise: Sony had already detailed its own features, as we covered in our piece on DualSense features and the PS5 Pro Enhanced label, and our which console to pick guide already raised the question. The footage is also presented as captured on PS5, which partly explains the mention.
For Xbox players, nothing changes on content or date: it is a marketing matter, not a version one. One point remains unknown: neither Rockstar nor Microsoft has commented on Sony's prominent placement. Watch Xbox's own ads in the coming weeks, and our release page.
