Costco is offering US shoppers a way to pay a little less for GTA 6 on PS5: PlayStation gift cards sold below face value, BGR reports. The advertised saving is 10 dollars.
According to BGR, users of the r/PS5 subreddit found that Costco members can buy a four-pack of PlayStation eGift Cards for less than their face value. The game costs $79.99 in the standard edition and $100 for the Ultimate, and the trick aims to ease the bill without touching the listed price.
There are quite a few, per BGR: you must be a Costco member, the offer is US only, limited to one pack per transaction and two purchases over 14 days. Cards arrive by email, download codes within 24 hours, and they are non-refundable. The site also notes that, according to users, buying a physical copy still gives you a download code. It suggests watching other retailers, or trading in old games at GameStop, to cut the price.
Nothing comparable has been announced here, and the Costco offer does not apply. The price stays at €79.99 standard and €99.99 Ultimate, digital only, as laid out on our price page. French retailers lean on the box with a code instead: E.Leclerc sells it at €60, delivered November 12. Online, G2A reports record PlayStation card sales, a sign the discount hunt has started.

For an American player, 10 dollars off at the cost of a few constraints. For everyone else the lesson still holds: a month from release, the real price depends on where you buy, and offers like this are multiplying. Always check the terms before paying.
