South Korea's Game Content Rating Board has rated GTA 6 Adults Only, clearing distribution in the country ahead of the November 19 launch, Inven Global reports.

GTA 6 has cleared its South Korean rating: the Game Content Rating Board (GCRB) gave it an "Adults Only" label, according to Inven Global, which dates the report to October 16. In practice, the game can now be officially sold to adult players in the country.
The content itself is no surprise, but the formality mattered. Without a local rating a game cannot legally go on sale in South Korea, so the November 19 date on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S needed this green light.
Per Inven, precedents were mixed. GTA V launched in 2013 with the same Adults Only rating, while Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony was refused classification in 2017 over anti-social depictions. The outlet notes GTA 6 is known for strong violence, sexual content and drug depictions, any of which could have complicated the review.
The framework changed recently. Inven says authority over Adults Only PC and console games moved from the Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) to the GCRB on November 1, 2025, and presents GTA 6 as the highest-profile title reviewed since that handover to the private sector.

In France the game is rated PEGI 18, as covered on our release page. Each country has its own system, and the launch calendar depends on all of them. After the Game Awards eligibility news, this is one more administrative step cleared in the final stretch.
South Korean players are cleared for the same November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Whether any local adaptations exist is unknown: neither Rockstar nor Inven mentions any. There is still no PC version announced.
