Bloomberg's Jason Schreier says GTA 6 has a scripted system making Jason, Lucia and other characters sweat according to effort, as reported by IGN.

Rockstar built a scripted system that varies how much GTA 6 characters sweat depending on their effort. The claim comes from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, in a video accompanying his investigation, as reported by IGN and Dexerto.

According to IGN, Schreier says Rockstar described a system that lets Jason and Lucia, and apparently other characters, sweat by different amounts depending on how hard they are working. The example is the nightclub: a character dancing hard sweats more than one standing still. Same logic for Jason working out: the harder he pushes, the more he sweats.
The detail may already be visible in August's "An Extended Look" video, where Lucia dances in a club with a glistening look. IGN stays cautious: it could also be a trick of the light.
Not entirely. Dexerto points out that Red Dead Redemption 2 already had similar effects, with characters and horses marked by heat. What changes, according to the site, is that intensity now follows movement and not only the weather. The system would not be limited to the leads: it could apply to passers-by across Leonida, though its exact workings remain unclear.

Rockstar has published nothing on the topic. Everything rests on remarks relayed by a journalist, not on a studio document.
It feeds IGN's account of the project's length: roughly eight years of proper development and a budget the site puts below $1.5 billion. We covered the Bloomberg piece in our article on the development behind the scenes, which already mentioned a whole Los Angeles studio dedicated to non-player characters.
For players, almost nothing measurable: nobody buys a game for its sweat. But this is the kind of detail that explains the schedule and the price. We will see on November 19 whether the effect shows in play or gets lost in the lighting. Our release page keeps the countdown.
