GTA 6 release time: what time does it unlock on November 19?

What time can you actually start GTA 6 on November 19, 2026? Nobody knows yet: neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has published an unlock time, and we would rather say so than invent one. The date is fixed, and so is preloading, which La Crème Du Gaming puts at "from November 12, 2026".
Short answer: the time has not been announced. The game launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and that is all Rockstar has confirmed. No store page mentions a midnight unlock, a local-time unlock or a single worldwide time. Pre-orders are open, yet no precise hour appears in any source we follow.
Studio habits do not settle it either. For a global launch, a simultaneous unlock and a time-zone-by-time-zone unlock are both possible, and nothing says which one Rockstar will pick. Launch parties are already planned, such as the one at the Grand Rex or in Geneva, but even their organisers do not know the unlock time.
Preloading starts on November 12, 2026, seven days before release. You will be able to download the files ahead of time without playing, then jump in once the unlock hits. The official file size is not published: La Crème Du Gaming noted on October 13 that it appears on neither the PlayStation Store nor the Xbox Store. The 200 GB figure pushed by Cyberleek is not a Rockstar number, as we explained in our file size piece.

Three simple habits. Check the free space on your console, bearing in mind the final size is unknown. Start the download as soon as preloading opens on November 12. And watch Rockstar's own announcements, the only source that counts: our release page and the countdown will update as soon as a time is confirmed.
For now, nothing concrete changes: the only certainties are the November 19 date and the preload window. The unlock time is one of the last details Rockstar has not delivered. When it becomes official, we will publish it here with the source.
