Is GTA 6 really coming to PC in early 2027?

For now this is a multi-source rumor, not an announcement. The game launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and no PC version has been announced, as we noted in our October 11 roundup. If the window holds, the gap would be four months at most, far shorter than GTA V, which hit consoles in September 2013 and PC in April 2015, according to GTA Boom.

DualShockers adds one clue: on a May earnings call, Take-Two said it planned one platform-extension title in fiscal 2027, which ends March 31, 2027. The link is tempting, but nobody has reported that this title is GTA 6.

Why would Rockstar move fast?

PhonAndroid ties the timing to the upcoming Online mode, which is absent at launch and would carry more weight with a PC version in place. GTA Boom notes that GTA V roleplay runs on PC through FiveM, whose Cfx.re team Rockstar bought in August 2023. At Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick called PC "more and more important" without giving a date.

Why stay cautious?

PC Gamer keeps its distance: the outlet had predicted November 2027, "because that's just how Rockstar rolls," and will update if Rockstar replies. GTA 6 has also slipped several times already, which makes any window fragile. Take-Two's next earnings report is set for November 9, per PC Gamer.

Some players say they will wait for PC rather than pay $100 for the premium edition on console. Our release page still lists console dates only, the only confirmed ones.

Why it matters

Nothing official, so nothing changes for your pre-order. But if GamesBeat is right, the PC wait goes from unknown to a few months. Still unknown: the exact date, price, system requirements and launcher. We are watching Rockstar's reply and Take-Two's November 9 report.
