PlayStation is reminding subscribers that GTA V leaves the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogs on November 17, two days before GTA 6 arrives on PS5 on November 19, reports GTA BOOM. The game stays on sale; only the subscription access goes away.

According to GTA BOOM, a PlayStation promo nudges subscribers to take "one last run" through Los Santos before the deadline. Extra and Premium members lose free access after November 17. Anyone who owns the game, or buys it, keeps playing as before. Catalog rotations are routine, but the timing is striking: Los Santos closes just before Vice City opens.
The outlet reads it as a symbolic handoff from Michael, Franklin and Trevor to Jason and Lucia. That is its interpretation, not a Rockstar statement. What is confirmed: GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading from November 12. See our release page. The exact unlock time has not been announced.
A PS Plus subscriber who never finished GTA V has until November 17. After that, returning to Los Santos means buying the game. Everyone else sees no change.
