GTA 6 trailer 3: YouTube's "More to GTA VI" ad is not a Rockstar teaser

A YouTube ad for GTA VI has fans expecting trailer 3, but the advertiser is YouTube, not Rockstar, per Xboxygen. No new video has been announced.

An ad reading "There's more to GTA VI on YouTube" has been circulating on Facebook and Instagram, and some players see it as a sign that a third trailer is coming. Xboxygen checked who is paying for it, though: the advertiser is YouTube, not Rockstar Games.

What does the ad actually say?

The visual reuses a familiar Jason and Lucia artwork with the line "There's more to GTA VI on YouTube". A variant reportedly reads "All roads lead to more GTAVI on YouTube". According to Xboxygen, which credits ben/videotech for the find, the gun Lucia holds in the original illustration is gone, so the image was edited for the campaign. A thread on r/GTA6 also flags these ads.

Is Rockstar behind it?

Nothing suggests so. Meta's ad library, as checked by Xboxygen, lists YouTube itself as the advertiser, and the ad never mentions a new trailer. The platform has good reason to push the game: both first trailers broke records there, and the Extended Look went up on YouTube after its Netflix premiere. Our roundup of trailer 3 clues already showed how often such leads fizzled out.

Timing also calls for caution: the October 8 date floated by speculation came and went with nothing, as Xboxygen notes.

What is left to show before November 19?

Plenty. The police search system, covered in our piece on six stars and Heat, has not been shown on video. The same goes for some side activities and dynamic weather, per Xboxygen. A third trailer would not be absurd a few weeks before the November 19, 2026 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but Rockstar has announced none.

For the date and the November 12 preload, see the release page.

Why it matters

For now, nothing concrete. The ad shows YouTube is betting on GTA VI to draw an audience, not that Rockstar has a video ready. Until the Newswire or official accounts say otherwise, a trailer 3 remains a hypothesis, and we will keep it filed as one.
