Xbox has something planned for GTA 6 that "no other platform holder is doing". The line is attributed to Xbox CEO Asha Sharma at an internal all-hands, reports Yahoo Tech. Sources of The Verge's Tom Warren then reportedly explained what she meant: Xbox Cloud Gaming will be able to stream GTA VI from day one.

Early reports spoke of an exclusive deal. Xbox Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball corrected that on X, according to the same article: "While the excitement for GTAVI and XBOX is great to see, it has also led to some misreporting. We are looking forward to launching GTAVI on XBOX November 19, though the game will not be streaming exclusively or to PC." In short: no exclusivity, and no streaming to PC.
How long the agreement runs has not been made clear, Yahoo Tech notes. The article infers a console-only setup, which would leave out the browsers and mobile apps usually tied to Xbox Cloud Gaming. That is the outlet's reasoning, not a confirmation from Microsoft.
The same piece recalls that Microsoft is overhauling Xbox Cloud Gaming in November: 15 hours of streaming a month for Game Pass Ultimate, 10 for Premium, 5 for Essential, alongside a pay-as-you-go option with no subscription. On Reddit, players worry an open-world game will eat that allowance in a weekend. That is community reaction, not a Microsoft figure about GTA 6.
I think of people without a console. The cloud can be a way in, but a door that closes after fifteen hours leaves a bitter taste. Leonida is meant to be walked slowly, and its pace does not fit in a quota.
The schedule does not move: release on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, as our release page sums up, and still no PC version announced by Rockstar. Streaming therefore changes nothing in the PC equation. What remains unknown is how long the deal lasts and what quota actually applies to GTA VI; until Microsoft publishes them, those points stay open.
