A small Turkish studio will put a Miami-style driving and shooting game into Steam early access on the very day GTA 6 comes out. Polygon smiles at it, without being fooled.

On November 19, PC players will not get GTA 6, but they will get something that vaguely resembles it. According to Polygon, Turkish studio Brgames Interactive will launch Phantom Vice Auto in Steam early access that day, the exact release date of Rockstar's game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Polygon describes a very light production: three people according to the studio's website at its latest count, and a trailer more than a year old. The game offers driving with at least four types of car, shooting with five guns, pedestrians and parkour animations, in a Miami-style metropolis. The Steam page promises three protagonists in the manner of GTA 5 and a separate 32-player online mode, Phantom Vice Online. The writer suggests taking these claims with caution: the same page touts a game "upgraded for a new generation", as if it were a remaster, while the studio says it started work in 2024. I could not check any of this myself.
Polygon sets the context: Rockstar is not releasing GTA 6 on PC alongside the consoles, officially to serve its core audience first on fixed hardware. The writer adds that fear of piracy is probably part of it. That is his guess, not a Rockstar statement.
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading on November 12, and Rockstar has still announced no PC version. For Phantom Vice Auto, we stay with the early access date reported by Polygon.
Nothing for Rockstar's game, but it is a symptom. I have been grumbling about the missing PC version for months, and this clone proves me right on one point: demand exists, and small studios are trying to fill the gap, even with open copies. Polygon notes that such clones clutter storefronts and weigh on small developers, while keeping some sympathy for David against Goliath. Official dates and platforms are on our release page.
