Travis Scott, Future, Morgan Wallen: Rockstar starts teasing GTA 6's soundtrack

Retrospective: written in October 2026 from the sources of the time

Artists posted crops of the same GTA 6 artwork, a sign the soundtrack is being unveiled. Nothing official yet on their roles: songs, radio hosts or characters.

According to IGN, Travis Scott, Future and Morgan Wallen posted zoomed-in crops of a larger Grand Theft Auto VI illustration on September 15. Scott's showed a woman's heeled feet with a caption mentioning Rockstar; Wallen's was a caption-less pool ladder in the studio's art style. Many guessed it was a nod to the game, with no certainty.

The doubt lifted when Future posted a sports car with a Leonida license plate. Metro Boomin and Yung Lean shared the same image. Another cluster spotted by IGN: Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso shared a yacht, an image also posted by Fred again.. and an account claiming ties to PinkPantheress. That feeds the idea of artists collaborating. IGN France describes the sequence as apparent teasers of the future soundtrack.

Songs, radio or characters?

Nothing is official yet. IGN notes the singers will likely have music in the game, but it is unclear whether they have bigger roles, as characters or radio hosts. There is precedent: Dr. Dre was a character in GTA Online, Phil Collins appeared in Vice City Stories, and comedians like Ricky Gervais appeared as themselves in GTA IV.

The voice cast is growing too. Per Variety, actor Stephen Root told the AP he is in the game, playing a drug trafficker in the Leonida Keys. He suspected many fans had already guessed. IGN says the confirmation seemed to come from a slip rather than a planned reveal, and gives the name Brian Heder.

What we knew before

On August 27, the extended look streamed on Netflix had already revealed 14 licensed tracks, as JeuxVideo.com recalls. The new sequence lands almost exactly two months before launch, in a campaign Rockstar has run since pre-orders opened. For the radio side, our radio page keeps the list current.

What we know since

Two days later Rockstar announced GTA VI: The Album, out November 19, the same day as the game. On the calendar nothing has moved: launch on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, preload on November 12, PEGI 18, €79.99 standard and €99.99 Ultimate, and still no PC version announced.

Why it matters

This sequence confirms music will be a pillar of the communication until launch, like the trailers. But keep a cool head: a shared image is not a tracklist, and a name on an Instagram account does not say whether the artist sings, hosts or acts. We have clues, not a list yet, and Rockstar sets the pace.
