Nobody expected hardware during today's State of Play, yet that is what Sony brought for GTA 6. According to Kotaku, the company showed two limited-edition DualSense controllers, one black and one white. IGN Southeast Asia confirms it is a marketing deal between PlayStation and Rockstar Games.
Both models share one design: palm trees engraved on the grips, the "VI" logo on the touchpad and the Grand Theft Auto logo etched on the back. IGN describes a neon purple trim on the lower half, while Kotaku adds pink touches on the D-pad and face buttons and a "shimmering, color-shifting finish" according to Sony. I kept coming back to the palm engraving: it is the kind of detail you notice driving at dusk, when the city turns its neon on.

Sony says supply will be limited, in "limited quantities globally", through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. According to Kotaku, pre-orders open on September 10 at $85 each, and the controllers launch on November 19, the same day as the game. The writer points out the paradox everyone noticed: GTA 6 gets a physical controller but no disc. No French price was given in the sources we read.
We keep merchandise up to date on the goodies page.
For the first time, a GTA launch comes with an official console accessory in its colors, carried by Sony. It confirms how central the PlayStation partnership is to this release. For players nothing functional is added: it is a collectible, not a new controller.
GTA 6 does launch on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, digitally, with preloading on November 12 and a PEGI 18 rating. The standard edition is €79.99 and the Ultimate €99.99. No PC version has been announced.
