Take-Two's quarterly results double as GTA VI checkpoints. The one on 6 November 2024 was no exception: according to VGC, the publisher restated its plan to release the game in fall 2025, as announced before. The news is mostly in CEO Strauss Zelnick's answers on hardware.
Asked about the game's possible performance on the Series S, Xbox's lower-powered console, Zelnick said he is "not worried". Per VGC, he explained that Take-Two supports platforms where players are, "despite different levels of tech", and that its labels are good at it. VGC recalls that Microsoft requires any game released on Series X to also come to Series S. No technical detail on resolution or frame rate was given: this is a state of mind, not a spec sheet.

Zelnick also stressed that PC is becoming more important to console business: "If one platform diminishes in value, there's always another one." VGC states that GTA VI is not announced for PC. The executive did not say it would come, only that Take-Two is selective and supports a platform when the audience is big enough. Those who read between the lines will see encouragement; those who stick to the facts, an absence of announcement.
For a biologist who mostly watches what the game shows of Leonida's wildlife, platform questions feel distant. They still matter: the fineness of the vegetation and animals glimpsed in the trailer will partly be decided on the most modest console.
Fall 2025 did not hold. GTA VI launches on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, preload on 12 November. No PC version is announced to date. Editions and prices are on prix.html.
The call eased a common worry among Xbox players: the Series S would not be left behind. It also fed, without confirming, hope for PC later. For the map, the nature and the rest of Leonida's world, we have to wait for Rockstar itself.
