A house in the Trilogy Definitive Edition may be the first GTA 6 image, a leaker says

A Florida house hidden in GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is supposedly the very first image of GTA 6. That is what a known leaker account, Matheusvictorbr, suggests on 12 April 2022, according to GTA BOOM. Rockstar has neither confirmed nor denied, and the site recalls that the account has been wrong before.

The image that has intrigued since November

According to GTA BOOM, when the Trilogy launched in November 2021, the row over bugs sat alongside another, more speculative conversation around an image embedded in the game: a typical Florida house, quickly identified as a 3D render rather than a photo. Fans established it came from no other available Rockstar game, although some first thought of L.A. Noire. The GTA 6 lead has remained the most cited.

What the leaker says, and what cannot be checked

GTA BOOM writes that Matheusvictorbr's anonymous sources insist it is indeed a preliminary GTA 6 screenshot, slipped in as a wink. The outlet sees a credible hypothesis given Rockstar's habits, but admits it does not know what these sources are worth. ScreenRant, which the same day publishes a ranking of the most convincing rumours, also links this image and recalls that Rockstar has given no release window nor said whether the game would be cross-gen. Its summary: until the studio shows something, everything remains hearsay.

What we know since

When Rockstar finally showed GTA 6 in December 2023, it was a state named Leonida, with Vice City, Lucia and Jason, not this isolated house. To our knowledge, no Rockstar statement has tied the Trilogy image to the game. The game is out on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, preload on 12 November, PEGI 18, €79.99 standard and €99.99 Ultimate. The Goodtime State collector costs €399.99 without the game, GTA VI: The Album is out the same day. No PC version has been announced, which for me remains bad technical news. Players' discussions are on the community page.

Why it matters

For a reader, this affair teaches you to look at an image's provenance before its meaning. A render in a game's files proves nothing until its author claims it. For Rockstar, silence worked: it let the community search for months without saying a word, and the community filled the void.
