Cyberleek is changing tactics. According to Kotaku, the account behind the GTA 6 leaks posted an "offer" on its website on October 10: if its meme coin reaches a $30 million market cap, the playable build it claims to hold goes public, "full story mode, played to the end, credits and all".

The terms of the ultimatum

The text, quoted by Kotaku, boils down to one line: "Take-Two gets one way out: physical disks and a public apology." Insider Gaming says the message carries no deadline and chose not to share the site, which could contain malware. We will not link it either.

The leaker also invites doubters to "ask for what you want to see" as proof that the story mode exists. Notebookcheck notes that Cyberleek has argued against digital-only releases since the first message in August, and finds discs for PS5 or Xbox by November 19 unlikely.

A possible bluff

Outlets stay cautious. Insider Gaming says many players believe the footage released so far, over an hour in total, comes from an older build, which would make the threat hollow. MP1st doubts the target will be hit or that Take-Two would give in, since nothing would stop the leaker from holding another copy.

The history is not reassuring for coin buyers. Kotaku recalls that the account went quiet in late August after apparently withdrawing about $250,000, crashing the token, and sees a possible second round of the same play. Notebookcheck puts the coin's previous peak at about $25 million, before Rockstar showed more of the game.

Where the investigation stands

Rockstar and Take-Two subpoenaed Discord and Microsoft in August for user records tied to the videos, Kotaku recalls, with no update since. We covered the subpoenas in our September piece.

Why it matters

For now nothing is verified: neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has reacted in the sources we read, and nobody has seen the claimed build. But six weeks from launch, spoilers become a real concern. Our advice is simple: do not click any link promising the game, which would first be a trap for malware or crypto wallets. The official schedule is on the release page.
